Advanced Scientific Programme Istanbul 2013

The 14th EFORT Annual Congress Istanbul 2013 Scientific Programme features over 200 scientific sessions as well as several full-day courses that have been scheduled over the 3 days of the congress.

The cutting edge in clinical research and technology in orthopaedics and traumatology were presented, along with the newest concepts and breakthroughs in musculoskeletal surgery-related specialities. Only the latest and best practices, meeting the highest standards of our profession, were also discussed during this high-quality EFORT Congress.

The EFORT Congress offered you a broad spectrum of carefully-selected opportunities to further your knowledge of our complex and varied field. These included 30 Symposia organised by well-known European experts, 22 Instructional Course lectures, more than 600 hand-picked Free Papers, the popular full-day Comprehensive Review Course, many posters, and numerous workshops, industry symposia and technical exhibits.

Collaboration with European specialty societies and other affiliated organisations provided a major additional input into our programme.

The highlights of the Congress were plenary addresses from two internationally renowned honorary lecturers. The Michael Freeman Honorary Lecture was be given by Professor Katsuro Tomita, the outstanding spinal surgeon from Kanazawa, Japan, and the Erwin Morscher Honorary Lecture was delivered by Jean Dubousset the master surgeon of Cottrel-Dubousset fame from Paris, France.
