Oral Presentations as Free Paper

Abstracts accepted as Free Papers will be presented orally within scientific sessions embedded in the core Congress programme. Very high scientific quality is expected from these presentations which should correspond to complete studies with outstanding results and innovative conclusions. To ensure that sessions run smoothly, please refer to the Free Paper Presentation Guidelines available online.

Each abstract oral presentation is 5 minutes in length. Slots of 30 minutes have been built with 4 abstracts around a same sub-topic and a discussion period driven towards our main congress motto: Modern Patients Needs - Challenges And Solutions In O&T will be ensured by the session chairs.

The best-rated Free Papers under both Orthopaedics and Trauma main categories have been selected to compete in the Free Paper Award competition. Authors involved in the competition have already received a specific notification. Detailed guidelines for the next steps will be shared shortly.

Poster Presentations

All abstracts accepted as Posters will be presented at the Congress as print wall paper posters. Authors are welcome to add images, tables and detailed data to better document their work. A large display area will be dedicated to poster presentations within the exhibition area.

Poster Walks within specific topics will be organised during the three days of the congress from 13h00 to 14h30. Authors from the selected posters have already received a specific communication mentioning the inclusion of their presentation within a Poster Walk. These presenting authors are required to stay in front of the Poster during the whole schedule of the session as they will need to explain their results in 5 minutes to an examiner. The best discussion will receive a special distinction (certificate and award ribbon).

All other accepted posters will be presented within the exhibition area during the same slots as abstracts included in a Poster Session. These presenting authors are NOT required to stay in front of their Poster. But EFORT strongly recommends all presenters to be active during the discussions within the Poster area.

To ensure that posters are under the correct format for display, please refer to the Poster Presentation Guidelines available online. Only Poster under the correct format will be displayed onsite.

The 30 best-rated Posters will compete for the Jacques Duparc Award. Authors involved in the competition have already received a specific notification. Detailed guidelines for next steps will be shared shortly.
